Nashik Welcomes the Next Kumbh Mela
In July 2027, the holy city of Nashik, Maharashtra, will once again open its arms to the world as host of the Kumbh Mela, the largest spiritual gathering on Earth. Beginning on 17th July 2027, millions of pilgrims, saints, and seekers will journey to the banks of the Godavari River to take part in rituals, prayers, and the sacred act of bathing that lies at the heart of this timeless tradition.
The Kumbh Mela is not just an event — it is a living river of faith that flows through generations. Rooted in ancient legends of the Gods and the nectar of immortality, the festival rotates between four sacred cities:
- Prayagraj
- Haridwar
- Ujjain
- Nashik
Each city has its turn, guided by precise astrological alignments, which means Nashik welcomes the Mela only once in a great while.
After 2027, Nashik will not host again until 2051 — making this gathering truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment for many.
